Resumen: En el contexto de la celebración de los bicentenarios patrios de los pueblos de Latinoamérica, este artículo trata sobre la interpretación que Rafael Tello realiza de la historia de nuestra evangelización constituyente. Él comprende que allí se ha forjado el núcleo medular de la identidad cultural del cristianismo popular, que sintetiza como un amor de la libertad y de la dignidad humana que está en su base. Ofrece un acercamiento dinámico a las principales categorías de un autor cuyo pensamiento se halla en su primera etapa de recepción.
Abstract: This article, written in occasion of the Latin American bicentennial anniversaries, is concerned with the interpretation by Rafael Tello of the history of our evangelization. According to him, this evangelization constitutes the kern of the Christian identity of popular Christianity, which he summarizes as love of freedom and human dignity. The present work offers a dynamic approach to the main categories of reflection of this author whose thought is in the first step of its reception.
