Resumen: este artículo ofrece algunos trazos de la interpretación teológica de Rafael Tello acerca de la cultura popular en América Latina y los diversos procesos culturales que coexisten y convergen en su mezcla de culturas. Brindando una clave de acceso a la comprensión del catolicismo popular, ambas categorías resultan un interesante aporte para una teología moral con mentalidad histórica, capaz de tomar nota de las diversas influencias que la cultura realiza en la vida cristiana en tanto hecho social internalizado y principio de su humana actividad.
Abstract: This article concerns some traces of Rafael Tello’s theological interpretation on the popular culture in Latin America and the various cultural processes that coexist and converge in their mixture of cultures. Providing a key to the understanding of the popular Catholicism, both categories are an interesting contribution to a moral theology with a historical mentality, able to take note of the various influences that culture makes in the Christian life, as both an internalized social fact and principle of human activity.
