El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre dicha problemática a partir de la experiencia santafesina e introducirnos en el análisis de la tensión entre ambas lógicas, explorando el juego de los vínculos horizontales y/o verticales, frecuentemente colectivos, que les dieron vida. Paralelamente, analizar cómo incidieron en tal dinámica los nuevos códigos que el liberalismo pretendía generar a través de la imposición de una moral cívica. Finalmente observar de qué modo los conflictos entre valores y prácticas antiguos/nuevos impactaron en el espacio público y al interior del Parlamento.
This article analyses the transformation of links between eligibles and electors in political parties of notables over time. The case of the Argentine province of Santa Fe at the end of the nineteenth century serves as a case study. The goal is to analyse the tension between the logic of the so-called «legitimate influences» and that of «calculated exchanges» by exploring the horizontal and vertical bonds that sustained them. At the same time, the article analyses how liberals attempted to introduce new codes through the imposition of a civic moral, and, by so doing, influenced this dynamic. Finally, the article explores conflicts between old and new values and practices, particularly those that took place within the realms of administration and electoral politics. It discusses how such conflicts impacted public spaces and reverberated within the walls of the parliament.
