El siguiente trabajo surge de la investigación para el libro Descubrir el vestuario y del estudio de la pintura en la Argentina entre 1800 y 1940, tiempo aproximado que abarca la materia Historia de las Artes Visuales III en la Facultad de Artes (FDA) de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) para las carreras de Artes Visuales. La revisión de la historia del arte desde el estudio del traje para el diseño de vestuario abre una mirada interdisciplinar de las producciones visuales nacionales.
In the study of pictorial representations of costume, three approaches will be explored which allow the visualization of the use of certain outfits according to cultural and historical circumstances, and the place the human body holds in each context. 1. Morphological studies of clothes and their adaptation to each body part according to each period (1810-1940). 2. A study focus on the relationships established by the visual elements, which proposes the unveiling of deep structures that conform a type of silhouette and the superficial structures that define changes and differences in the same period of study. (V. Serafini). 3. An analysis of five archetypical garments catalogued since antiquity which reiterate themselves along history and in different territories, with adaptations ( F. Boucher).
