La función discursiva de las construcciones causales en la conversación coloquial

En este trabajo nos interesa estudiar el uso que hacen de las construcciones causales los participantes de las conversaciones coloquiales. En primer lugar, si bien consideraremos el estatus gramatical controvertido de estas estructuras, revisaremos cómo la selección de una forma lingüística puede ofrecer información sobre sus funciones discursivas e interactivas en un juego de intersubjetividad (Huelva Unterbäumen, 2013b). Tal como sostiene Montolío (1996), la posición de este tipo de cláusulas resulta pertinente para su interpretación y aparentemente obedece a ciertos criterios pragmáticos sobre los cuales los hablantes organizan sus intervenciones. En los casos analizados, las construcciones parecen cumplir diversas funciones discursivas, más allá de expresar una causal real, en relación con la mayor expresividad del hablante junto con la consideración de la inteligibilidad del interlocutor. En definitiva, la función de estas construcciones no puede considerarse sin atender a los contextos dinámicos en los cuales se integran.
In this paper we are interested in studying the use of causal constructions by participants in colloquial conversations. First, even though we will consider the controversial grammatical status of these structures, we will examine how the selection of a linguistic form can offer information about its discursive and interactive functions in a game of intersubjectivity (Huelva Unterbäumen, 2013b). As Montolío (1996) states, the position of such clauses is relevant to their interpretation and apparently respond to certain pragmatic criteria on which speakers organize their interventions. In the cases analyzed, causal constructions seem to fulfill various discursive functions, far from expressing a real cause, in relation to the speaker’s greater expressiveness together with the consideration of the interlocutor’s intelligibility. In short, the function of these clauses cannot be considered without taking into account the dynamic contexts in which they are integrated.
