Resumen: El objetivo del presente trabajo se centra en encontrar, clasificar, explicar y mostrar los resultados de ciertos métodos utilizados por los padres jesuitas en la evangelización de las etnias abipona y mocoví de la Provincia Misional de Paracuaria (región chaqueña). Quisiera con ello demostrar cómo muchos de esos métodos se compartieron con los aplicados por los miembros de esa misma orden en otras regiones y ante grupos diametralmente diferentes, y sin embargo, a juzgar por los testimonios de los misioneros, resultaron relativamente eficaces.
Abstract: The purpose of this work is to find, classify, explain and reveal the results of certain methods used by the Jesuits in the evangelization of mocoví and abipón ethnic groups in the Paracuaria Missionary Province. By these means, I would like to demonstrate how several of these methods were also used by Jesuits in other regions and among diametrically different ethnic groups. Moreover, I would like to indicate why these methods were relatively effective in most cases, judging by the testimonies of the missionaries.
