Socompa Geothermal Prospect. Report on Fluid Geochemistry (Soil CO2 degassing)

The Servicio Geológico Minero Argentino (SEGEMAR), in collaboration with the Institute of Geoscience and Earth Resources of the National Research Council of Italy (IGG-CNR) have carried out, during April 2018, a CO2 flux survey in the Socompa Volcano area. The accumulation chamber method has been used to measure the CO2 flux diffuse at the airsoil interface. Data processing have been performed throughout statistical and geostatistical analysis aimed at evaluating the statistical distribution of the data set and the presence of anomalous data.
