Introduction: In Argentina, Human Papillomavirus Infection (HPV) is the most prevalent Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI), its incidence in 2010 was estimated at 20.1%. Among the more than 150 types of HPV described, in Argentina HPV-16 6 predominates. The factors associated with a higher prevalence of HPV infection are anemia (Hemoglobin <12 g / dL) and a Body Mass Index (BMI) above 24 kg / m2, the latter being a relevant factor for HPV infection and subsequent development of cancer 11,20. Objectives: To know the association between the prevalence of anemia and the nutritional status in patients with HPV who attended the Gynecology and Urology Service of the Reina Fabiola University Clinic, in the city of Córdoba. Methodology: Observational, descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study. Data was collected from the medical records of patients who attended the Gynecology and Urology Service of the Reina Fabiola University Clinic during the 2018-2019 period and who met the inclusion criteria. It was approved by the ethics committee Nº G20200707bP. To estimate the association between variables, the exact Fischer test was performed, expressing the results with 95% confidence. Results: 75% (56 95% CI 63.66-84.28) of the patients with HPV were male, aged between 18 and 70 years. 76% (57 95% CI 64.75-85.11) of the patients with HPV presented malnutrition due to excess, 49.3% (37 95% CI 37.27-60.82) being overweight and 26.6 % (20 95% CI 17.39-38.49) due to grade I obesity, the prevalence of excess weight was higher in the male group 82.14% (46 95% CI 69.60-91.09). 61.32% (46 95% CI 49.37-72.35) of the subjects presented decreased hemoglobin values, and 46.6% of the patients with excess malnutrition presented altered values. Conclusion: There is a high prevalence of malnutrition due to excess in the population with HPV, in addition a statistically significant association between excess weight and sex was registered. On the other hand, no association was found between the state of excess malnutrition and the levels of anemia.
