- En este trabajo el autor pretende examinar el desarrollo de los estudios sociales de deporte en el ámbito argentino y latinoamericano en los últimos veinte años, dado el desarrollo de ese campo ha cobrado relevancia y vigor académico. Es posible que estemos en un momento de creciente reconocimiento académico de las formulaciones interdisciplinarias de estudios sociales del deporte, en donde existe potencialmente un terreno aún virgen y que constituye un gran desafío para los estudiosos en la misión de reconocer límites, fronteras o posibilidades. In this paper the author intend to examine the development of sports social studies in Argentina and Latin America in the last twenty years, given the development of this field has gained relevance and academic vigor. It is possible that we are in a moment of growing academic recognition of the interdisciplinary formulations of sports social studies, where there is potentially a still virgin terrain and that constitutes a great challenge for scholars in the mission of recognizing limits, borders or possibilities
