Gauchos guerreros y poetas cantores: Representaciones identitarias en las letras del folklore en Salta

El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar algunas de las representaciones identitarias construidas discursivamente en las letras del folklore en Salta y su fuerte vinculación con los discursos de la “salteñidad”1 y el regionalismo. Para ello abordamos un corpus de canciones pertenecientes a Gustavo Leguizamón y José Juan Botelli junto a distintos poetas, desde una perspectiva de análisis sociodiscursiva que permita relacionar dicho corpus con los discursos políticos e ideológicos circulantes, como así también con el campo intelectual y artístico en que se producen. Del análisis realizado emergen dos representaciones relevantes del espacio y las subjetividades locales construidas en las canciones. Una de ellas, apunta a la configuración de una “Salta heroica”; la otra, contribuye a la imagen de una “Salta bohemia” en que la provincia y la región se configuran como “tierra de cantores y poetas”.
The aim of this work is to show the identity representations discursively forged in the folklore lyrics in Salta, and its strong connection to the discourses of the “salteñidad”1 and regionalism. To that end, we tackled a corpus of songs belonging to Gustavo Leguizamón and José Juan Botelli together with different poets from a socio-discursive analysis perspective, which allows relating such corpus with political and ideological discourses going around, as well as with the intellectual and artistic field in which they are produced. From the analysis performed, two relevant representations of the space and local subjectivities built in the songs emerge. One of them aims at the shaping of a “heroic Salta”; the other, contributes to the image of the “bohemian Salta” in which the province and the region take shape as “land of singers and poets”.
