Aproximaciones a la incidencia del título técnico secundario en la inserción laboral juvenil en la Argentina

En la Argentina la recuperación económica posterior a 2003 dio lugar al incremento de la ocupación y a significativas mejoras en los indicadores económicos y sociales. Paralelamente, reformas en el sistema educativo promovieron la formación e inserción laboral de jóvenes en actividades técnicas.En ese marco contextual el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar algunos indicadores vinculados a la inserción laboral y educativa de jóvenes egresados de escuelas de educación técnica y comparar su inserción con la de jóvenes del mismo tramo de edad egresados del nivel secundario (considerando todas las modalidades) en la Argentina. Asimismo, en el caso de los egresados ETP, se indaga sobre cuestiones ligadas a la movilidad ocupacional intergeneracional.Para ello se utilizaron datos del año 2013 de la Encuesta de Seguimiento de Egresados realizada por el INET y de la Encuesta Anual de Hogares Urbanos realizada por el INDEC.
The economic recovery after the crisis of the early 2000s led to significant improvements in economic indicators and the rise in employment. Simultaneously, recent reforms in the education system promoted the training and employment of young people in technical activities, which meant changing the course of the measures taken during the 1990s. This paper aims to analyze the main indicators related to the employment of young graduates of technical education schools and compare them with the insertion of young graduates of the secondary level in Argentina. For this, we will use data of the Survey of graduates on technical education carried out by the INET in 2013 and data from the Permanent Household Survey carried out by the INDEC of the same year. Comparing the two groups allows to know whether there are differences between secondary school graduates of technical education and graduates from other schools regarding to employment and educational rates insertion. The aim is to analyze if they have different rates of employment and unemployment and if there are differences in the quality of jobs they can access, whether or not to continue studying, etc.
