El uso de técnicas gráficas en investigaciones sobre representaciones sociales

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar acerca del uso de técnicas gráficas en investigaciones sobre representaciones sociales. Las imágenes constituyen un sistema semiótico autónomo, que permite explorar sobre los significados sociales construidos en relación a un tema. Configuran narraciones gráficas en las que se entrecruzan aspectos psicosociales y aspectos histórico-culturales. Para esto, y de manera ilustrativa, se presentan los resultados de una investigación sobre la representación social de la vida cotidiana en jóvenes no insertos en el sistema educativo ni laboral formal, denominados por Reutlinger (2001) "jóvenes invisibles". Las imágenes dan cuenta del espacio social vivido, y a la vez, de un mapa de relaciones que se traduce en la coniguración de determinada identidad social. Los resultados obtenidos son concordantes con los logrados con otras técnicas a lo largo de la investigación, lo que da cuenta de la triangulación de fuentes como modo de validar los resultados.
The aim of this article is to think about the use of drawings in social representations research. The images constitute an autonomous semiotic system that permits to explore social meanings constructed in relation to a theme. They constitute graphic narratives in which psychosocial and historic- cultural aspects are interwoven. For this purpose, and to illustrate it, we present results from a research about social representations of everyday life of young people who don´t belong to neither the educational nor the formal working system, called after Reutilinger (2001) "invisible youth". The images show the lived social space, and at the same time, a relation map which illustrate the construction of a certain social identity. The results obtained agree with those attained with other techniques used in this research, which accounts for the triangulation of sources, as a way to validate outcomes.
