El abordaje del conocimiento cotidiano desde la teoría de las representaciones sociales

En este trabajo proponemos un abordaje conceptual del estudio del conocimiento cotidiano acerca de los fenómenos naturales, asociados al aprendizaje de las Ciencias, desde una perspectiva psicosocial. Entendemos que el conocimiento cotidiano que poseen los alumnos podría considerarse próximo a las representaciones sociales en su definición tradicional. En esta línea, lograr un aprendizaje, y la consecuente reelaboración conceptual, implicaría un cambio en las representaciones socialmente compartidas. Pensamos que este abordaje nos permitirá analizar y reinterpretar de manera más holística las dificultades de aprendizaje de las Ciencias de la Naturaleza.
In this work we propose a conceptual approach in the study of everyday knowledge about natural phenomena associated with the learning of Science, from a psychosocial perspective. We understand that the students’ everyday knowledge might be considered to be close to the social representations in its traditional definition. In line with this, to achieve learning, and the consequent conceptual reconstruction, would involve a change in the socially shared representations. We think that this approach will allow us to analyze and to reinterpret, in a more holistic way, the learning difficulties of Natural Sciences.
