Asignación universal por hijo y privaciones educativas en la Argentina

El objetivo de este trabajo es estimar las diferencias de privaciones educativas entre niñas y niños beneficiarias/os y no beneficiarias/os del Programa Asignación Universal por Hijo vigente en la Argentina desde el año 2009. Se explota una fuente de información que permite identificar beneficiarios. El principal hallazgo confirma algunos resultados de investigaciones previas, pero plantea la necesidad de revisar el diseño de este exitoso programa de protección social desde una perspectiva de género.
The aim of this paper is to estimate differences in educational deprivation between boys and girls, beneficiaries and non beneficiaries, of the program Universal Child Allowance. This study uses data from the National Survey of Social Protection (ENAPROSS Spanish acronym) that identifies recipients directly, to assess the impact over educational deprivation indicators and over a summary indicator of these deprivations. Results reveal strong gender disparities in educational deprivation confirming some previous inquiries results.
