El milagro de Teófilo de Berceo y el factum hereticale: una crítica a la tesis de Alain Boureau

En el año 2004 el historiador francés Alain Boureau publicó el libro Satán Hérétique. Dicho libro intentó demostrar que existió un punto de inflexión en el devenir de las definiciones de herejía por parte de la canonística: la bula Super illius specula (1326 o 1327) del papa Juan XXII. A partir de esta bula el “hecho” en sí mismo pasaría a ser causa de herejía y complementaría así el camino tradicional en el cual la herejía era vista como el producto de una sententia errónea. En esta oportunidad lo que haremos será demostrar a partir de las propias pruebas que Boureau otorga en su libro, que la aceptación de un hecho como causa de herejía es anterior a esta bula y al siglo XIV, tanto desde el punto de vista doctrinal como teológico. De este modo, adelantamos, la noción de factum hereticale no representa ni una novedad doctrinal ni será un punto de inflexión en el siglo XIV.
In 2004 the French historian Alain Boureau published the book Satan Hérétique. The book attempted to show that there was a turning point in the evolution of the definitions of heresy by the canon tradition: the bull Super specula illius (1326 or 1327) of Pope John XXII. From this bull the "fact" in itself would be the cause of heresy and thus complement the traditional form in which heresy was seen as the product of a sententia wrong. In this article, from the documents themselves analyzed by Boureau in his book, we will demonstrated the acceptance of a fact as the cause of heresy before the bull and the 14th century, both from the standpoint of doctrinal and theological . Thus, we advance the notion of factum hereticale represents neither a doctrinal novelty nor a turning point in the 14th century.
