Estado, explotación forestal e inversiones en el Chaco Santiagueño (1880-1930): Riqueza propia y ganancia ajena

Este estudio de reflexión histórica recoge varios años de mis investigaciones acerca del NEA(Nordeste Argentino). Pretende caracterizar e interpretar la organización del territorio, las políticas públicas,los actores sociales y la economía en una de las regiones que se acoplara tardíamente a la Argentina Moderna impulsada por la Generación positivista del 80, sin haber participado de los acuerdos que llevarían a la organización del Estado Nacional. Mediante el uso de fuentes cuali-cuantitativas, el propósito es estudiarla situación del Chaco Santiagueño, subregión Oeste del Gran Chaco Argentino. El objetivo es analizar y ponderar, especialmente, la explotación de sus recursos naturales, la legislación forestal y de tierras, las inversiones que allí se radican y las condiciones políticas inestables que definen su postergación, tanto en tiempos de los gobiernos oligárquicos como radicales. La propuesta es definir y comprender la marginalidad que se gesta y sostiene en el tiempo, respecto del modelo agroexportador, así como su condición al interior de la postergada región nordestina del país.
This study of historical reflection collects several years of my research on the Argentinean Northeast (NEA, according to its acronym in Spanish). It aims to characterize and interpret the organization of the territory, public policies, social actors and the economy in one of the regions that belatedly coupled to Modern Argentina driven by the positivist generation of the 80s. This region did not participate of the agreements that would lead to the organization of the National State. Through the use of qualitative and quantitative sources, the purpose is to study the situation of the Chaco Santiagueño, western subregion of the Gran Chaco Argentino. The objective is to analyze and weigh, especially, the exploitation of its natural resources, forestry and land legislation, the investments that are located there and the unstable political conditions that define its postponement, both in times of oligarchic and radical governments. The proposal is to define and understand the marginality that is generated and sustained over time, regarding the agroexport model, as well as its condition within the postponed northeastern region of the country.
