La Estancia San Jorge, ubicada al sur del Golfo homónimo en la provincia de Santa Cruz, expone el legado y la historia de sus pobladores, sus experiencias de vida, así como la explotación económica del territorio, elementos distintivos de su acervo patrimonial. El turismo rural, es una potencial actividad a realizar en este territorio para favorecer la conservación de este patrimonio cultural y natural. Se propone el diagnóstico del estado de sus recursos y el análisis de potencial turístico del área del ‘Casco Viejo’ de la estancia, como insumo inicial para futuras intervenciones en el mismo. Este territorio, invita a rescatar su valor, a considerar su incidencia en la conformación de la identidad regional y sus potencialidades para el desarrollo turístico local.
The San Jorge Ranch, located to the south of the homonymous Gulf in the province of Santa Cruz, exposes the legacy and history of its inhabitants, their life experiences, as well as the economic exploitation of the territory, distinctive elements of its patrimonial heritage. Rural tourism is a potential activity to be carried out in this territory to favor the conservation of this cultural and natural heritage. The diagnosis of the state of its resources and the analysis of the tourist potential of the 'Casco Viejo' area of the ranch are proposed, as an initial input for future interventions in it. This territory invites us to rescue its value, to consider its impact on the formation of regional identity and its potential for local tourism development.
