El presente artículo advierte los problemas epistemológicos y metodológicos que enfrenta la investigación en el campo del cuerpo y en el de la educación. Advierte que: a) no toda investigación es científica; b) no todo saber es ciencia; c) toda ciencia es ciencia de un campo y un objeto. El artículo pregunta qué es la ciencia y responde con una breve síntesis de su historia, para proponer un cambio en lo que se entiende por ciencia y por método en los campos dichos.
This article warns about the epistemological and methodological problems faced by research in the field of the body and in that of education. It warns that: a) not all research is scientific; b) not all knowledge is science; c) all science is science of a field and of an object. The article asks what science is and responds with a brief summary of its history, in order to propose a change in what is understood by science and by method in said fields.
