El título del libro es provocativo, teniendo en cuenta las reservas que la actividad financiera con su ineludible ambigüedad suscita en muchos cristianos. Pero son palabras que figuraban en los libros contables de muchos comerciantes de la Europa medieval, que creían con razón que a través de su tarea también daban gloria a Dios. Es necesario pues conocer mejor dicha actividad antes de intentar cualquier juicio de valor. Profundizar este conocimiento es un gran desafío, porque la DSI no asumió suficientemente la riqueza histórica de la reflexión cristiana sobe el tema, y quedó relativamente retrasada respecto de su rápida evolución y creciente importancia en la vida económica...
