El trabajo presenta una serie de resultados surgidos de una investigación empírica abocada a comprender de qué manera los investigadores académicos construyen significados de utilidad sobre los conocimientos que generan. A lo largo del texto se analiza en qué contexto emergen dichos significados entre los investigadores, cómo se incorporan a sus orientaciones de acción y cómo conviven con otras actividades orientadas hacia la comunidad académica. Como resultado, el trabajo exhibe y analiza las modificaciones que operan en los marcos de significados que manejan los investigadores para interpretar sus prácticas, la naturaleza del vínculo que mantienen con el medio social y las modalidades de uso de los conocimientos científicos que producen.
This paper presents a series of results originated from an empirical investigation aiming to understand how academic researchers construct utility meanings on the knowledge that they produce. Throughout the text, the context in which these meanings emerge among researchers, how they are incorporated into their guidelines for action and how they coexist with other activities aimed at the academic community is analyzed. As a result, this work shows the changes that operate within the framework of meanings of the researchers to interpret their practices, the nature of the link they have with the social environment and the way of using the scientific knowledge that they produce.
