Una reflexión ética sobre el estado, la política y el espacio público en tiempos de nuevas derechas

El presente trabajo está interesado en realizar una reflexión sobre el papel del Estado y la política, en una etapa en donde los avances de las llamadas “Nuevas Derechas” están penetrando en la región y en el mundo. En efecto, nuevamente asistimos a la aparición de discursos críticos sobre la politización de la vida social y sobre el papel del Estado como regulador comunitario esencial. Este ensayo se propone revisar algunas de las razones por las cuales estos discursos encuentran un fuerte respaldo en grandes y heterogéneos sectores de la población; en este sentido, y a manera de hipótesis, se debe entender que las concepciones de Estado y de espacio público que han dominado gran parte de los últimos años, favorecieron un terreno en donde se asentaron estas nuevas prédicas antipolíticas. Lo anterior no implica renunciar a la importancia de tener una lógica política sobre el Estado y el espacio público, por el contrario, debería entenderse que en favor de su defensa, debemos realizar una profunda reflexión ética sobre estos ámbitos a los efectos de anteponer una matriz alternativa a los postulados de mercantilizar las relaciones sociales y dejar librado los arreglos sociales al mecanismo “objetivo” del mercado.
This paper is interested in reflecting on the role of the State and politics, at a time when the advances of the so-called "New Right" are penetrating the region and the world. Indeed, once again we are witnessing the appearance of critical discourses on the politicization of social life and on the role of the state as an essential community regulator. This essay intends to review some of the reasons why these discourses find strong support in large and heterogeneous sectors of the population; In this sense, and as a hypothesis, it must be understood that the conceptions of the state and public space that have dominated much of recent years favored a terrain where these new anti-political preachings settled. The foregoing does not imply giving up the importance of having a political logic about the state and public space, on the contrary, it should be understood that in favor of their defense, we must carry out a deep ethical reflection on these areas in order to put a matrix before alternative to the postulates of commodifying social relations and leaving social arrangements to the "objective" mechanism of the market.
