Un momento argentino: crisis de representación en el teatro de los noventa

El presente artículo se propone reflexionar sobre la crisis de representación en el teatro argentino de los noventa a partir del análisis de Un momento argentino (2001, Rafael Spregelburd). La noción sociológica de “crisis de la representación” (Pucciarelli, 2002) permitirá referirnos al sistema político menemista que caracteriza social y culturalmente la década de los noventa y será el eje de este trabajo, articulando tanto la dimensión social como artística. Con dicho concepto nos referimos, en el plano social, al distanciamiento del ciudadano de su partido de referencia; y en el plano estético, a la separación definitiva del objeto de representación y su referente inmediato.
This article aims to consider the crisis of representation in the Argentinian theatre of the nineties through an analysis of Un momento argentino (2001, Rafael Spregelburd). The sociological notion of "crisis of representation" (Pucciarelli, 2002) will allow us to address the context of the political system lead by president Menem (1989-1999). Menemism characterizes the nineties both socially and culturally and is the focus of this work, which seeks to articulate the social and artistic dimensions of this process. On a social level, the key concept of this paper refers to the estrangement of the citizen from his political party of reference, and on an aesthetic level, it points to the definitive separation between object of representation and immediate reference.
