Descripción
The internationalization of criminal law occurs through various mechanisms, includingharmonization. In this paper, we focus on the ´harmonization´ through the different actorsthat set this process in motion, as well as the mechanisms -hard law and soft law rules employing which the process is carried out. Based on the hypothesis that theharmonization in the same area of criminal law has not a uniform feature, but set in motionto different extents and at different speeds by different actors, we will analyse three casesin Argentine law that belong to the same area of criminal law, namely crimes related toorganized crime. The selection of cases is: (a) "illicit association" vs. "conspiracy"; (b)trafficking in persons and (c) money laundering.
