El siguiente trabajo se desarrolla en el marco del Proyecto de Innovación y Transferencia en Áreas Prioritarias de la Comisión de Investigaciones Científicas de la provincia de Buenos Aires (CIC)1 . En relación con ello, el objetivo del presente artículo es estudiar al humedal de la bahía Blanca como un potencial recurso turístico-recreativo, considerando la relación existente entre la importancia del ecosistema, la conservación de la naturaleza y el turismo como un factor de desarrollo sustentable e instrumento vinculado con la educación ambiental. Con respecto al área de estudio, si bien la misma comprende la franja costera de los partidos de Bahía Blanca, Coronel Rosales y Villarino. En esta primera aproximación conceptual solo se tomará en consideración el área perteneciente a Bahía Blanca y Coronel Rosales en el Sudoeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The following work is carried out within the framework of Innovation and Transfer Projects in Priority Areas of the Commission of Scientific Investigations of the province of Buenos Aires (CIC). In relation to this, the objective of this article is to study the Bahía Blanca wetland as a potential tourist-recreational resource, considering the relationship between the importance of the ecosystem, the conservation of nature and tourism as a factor of sustainable development and an instrument linked to environmental education. Regarding the study area, although it includes the coastal strip of the Bahía Blanca, Coronel Rosales and Villarino, in this first conceptual approach only the wetlands of Bahía Blanca and Coronel Rosales will be tak6en into consideration.
