La variación en relación {a-con} en textos especializados

En este trabajo estudiamos la variación microsintáctica de las tradicionalmente llamadas preposiciones a y con, en el marco contextual posterior a en relación, en un corpus especializado: los Volúmenes Temáticos de la Sociedad Argentina de Lingüística, series 2012-2014. El objetivo de la investigación es dilucidar por qué emisores expertos en el área del lenguaje varían en la utilización de las formas lingüísticas en estudio. Nuestros interrogantes guía son: (1) ¿por qué se elige determinada forma y no otra?, (2) ¿cuál es el significado que cada una le aporta al mensaje que se quiere transmitir?La Escuela Lingüística de Columbia constituye nuestro marco teórico-metodológico y nuestra hipótesis general consiste en afirmar que el uso variable a estudiar se justifica en la diferente aportación de significado al mensaje: a señala una dirección temática a partir de la entrada de un elemento o más retomados temática y contiguamente a su introducción, y con introduce un elemento que no se retoma temáticamente, al menos en lo inmediato. Testeamos la hipótesis a partir de las variables independientes: (1) características del elemento introducido por la preposición y (2) posición respecto del verbo conjugado.
In this work, we study the micro-syntactic variation of to and with –traditionally referred to as prepositions–, after the contextual structure in relation. The analysed corpus in this research consists of the publications of the Volúmenes Temáticos de la Sociedad Argentina de Lingüística, from 2012 to 2014. The aim is to find out why this variation is found in the discourse of writers that are experts in linguistics and what specific meaning each linguistic form transmits in the message. The study is carried out within the theoretical and methodological framework proposed by the Columbia School of Linguistics. Our main hypothesis is that the different linguistic uses of to and with occur because each linguistic form contributes a different meaning to the message: to indicates a thematic direction and with introduce a linguist element, which is not considered as thematic, at least in the immediate cotext. In order to show that, we suggest a basic meaning for each preposition under study and postulate independent variables of analysis: (1) the characteristics of the element introduced by the preposition and (2) the position with respect to the conjugated verb.
