Teatro y vida material: sobre la serie Archivos de Vivi Tellas

Las intervenciones de Vivi Tellas son clave para caracterizar algunas de las concepciones teatrales de la escena argentina de los últimos años. Su serie Archivos (2003-2011) ha sido estudiada principalmente desde dos perspectivas: a partir de la problemática de lo real, como un modo en el que el arte busca generar experiencias alternativas en el contexto de sociedades fuertemente mediatizadas, y el abordaje del archivo en tanto exhumación de legados y tradiciones, pero también como interpelación a nuevas historias y subjetividades. En el presente artículo queremos introducir otra perspectiva, basada en las relaciones entre labor y experiencia. Es interesante observar que en Archivos las diferentes performances laborales y personales estructuran los itinerarios escénicos. Esto se produce desde dos puntos de vista. Por un lado, las diferentes historias muestran objetos, narraciones y prácticas que aluden a los universos del trabajo y la vida cotidiana de los intérpretes. Por otro lado, emerge la dimensión del trabajo teatral, con las marcas del propio proceso de producción escénica. La vida material importa (Sennett 2009 [2008]), también la escena material. En Archivos, lo que el espectador ve es la escenificación de estos trabajos y sus intercambios, de ciertos modos de hacer y pensar el teatro contemporáneo y de ciertas formas de entender y configurar el mundo.
Vivi Tellas' interventions are key works to feature some of the most relevant theatrical conceptions of the Argentine scene in the last years. Her series Archivos (2003- 2011) has been studied considering two perspectives: the topic of the real, as a way in which art seeks to create alternative experiences in the context of strongly mediatized societies, and the topic of the archive, not only as an exhumation of legacies and traditions, but also as a challenge to new stories and subjectivities. This paper wants to introduce another perspective based on the relations between labor and experience. It is interesting to observe that the scenic itineraries are structured by different labor and personal performances in Archivos. There is a twofold explanation to this issue. On the one hand, the different stories show objects, narratives and practices that allude to the universes of the actors´s works and daily lifes. On the other hand, it also emerges the dimension of the theatrical work, with the marks of its own process of scenic production. Material life matters (Sennett 2009 [2008]), also material scene. What the spectator sees in Archivos is the staging of these works and their exchanges, certain ways of making and thinking contemporary theatre and certain forms of understanding and figuring the world.
