El trabajo analiza la noción de cuerpo en Cuerpos que importan, una de las obras principales de la filósofa Judith Bulter. La intención es mostrar de qué modo el concepto de cuerpo adquiere una dimensión material en virtud de la consideración del lenguaje que la autora sostiene. Dicha concepción, sostendremos, está orientada por los desarrollos del crítico de origen belga Paul De Man en sus ensayos de Alegorías de la lectura. En esa dirección, tratamos de enfatizar la herencia demaniana en la concepción material de cuerpo que se desprende de la obra de Butler.
This work analyses the notion of body in Bodies that matter, one of the main books by the philosopher Judith Butler. Our aim is to show that the notion of body acquires a material dimension by virtue of the account that the author has about language. It is our opinion that said conception is oriented by the developments made by the Belgian critic Paul De Man in his essays in Allegories of Reading. In this direction, we will try to emphasize the Demanian legacy present in the material conception of the body that can be inferred in Butler’s work.
