El presente trabajo analiza el pensamiento teológico-político de Dante Alighieriesgrimido en De Monarchia. Para ello, se reponen tres de sus aspectos fundamentales: 1)el llamado que realiza a la configuración de un Emperador Universal en vistas de lograr lapaz y la unificación de la humanidad, 2) la evocación de Roma como su expresión históricamás legítima y 3) el tipo de vinculación que debe efectuarse entre la Iglesia y el podersecular.
The present article analyzes the theological-political thought of Dante Alighieri developed in De Monarchia. Consequently, three of its fundamental aspects will be replaced: 1) the call he makes for the configuration of a Universal Emperor in order to achieve peace and humanity’s unification; 2) the evocation of Rome as its most legitimate historical expression; 3) the type of link needed between the Church and the secular power.
