El discurrir de la “sociedad civil”: Una aproximación a las re-elaboraciones conceptuales desde la filosofía clásica hasta la actualidad

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo indagar sobre los diferentes significados que el término “sociedad civil” ha tenido desde sus orígenes hasta los tiempos actuales. Abordaremos su derrotero partiendo desde la filosofía clásica y su pasaje a la modernidad. Pero centraremos nuestro análisis en tres nodos que consideramos claves: la interpretación hegeliana de la sociedad civil, por un lado; la distancia tomada por Karl Marx; y la reformulación que, a modo de reconciliación con el primero, ofreció Antonio Gramsci. Por último, señalaremos las interpretaciones más usuales que sobre este término se han tenido durante el siglo XX.
This article has the purpose to discuss the different meanings the concept of “civil society” has been achieved since its foundation until the present times. We will analize the history of the concept by following the classical philosophy and its transition to modernity. Although, we will focus our analisis on three basic key elements: the hegelian interpretation of civil society, on one hand; the distance taken by Karl marx; and the reformulation that, as a way of reconciliation with the first element, offered Antonio Gramsci. On the other hand, we will appoint the usual interpretations about the concept in the XXth century.
