El prefuncionalismo en la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba: Una aproximación a la teoría sociológica de Raúl Orgaz (1926-1946)

El presente artículo estudia la teoría sociológica de Raúl Orgaz en el período 1926-1946. El interés central del texto es reconstruir la perspectiva propuesta por el autor entre mediados de la década de 1930 y comienzos de la de 1940, la cual articula los aportes de tres autores: Nicholas Spykman, Pitirim Sorokin y, especialmente, Émile Durkheim, lo cual dio lugar a un original enfoque sociológico en esta época. El mismo ha sido rotulado como prefuncionalista, en tanto anticipa algunos elementos que, luego de los aportes seminales de los sociólogos norteamericanos Talcott Parsons y Robert Merton, se constituirán como visión hegemónica en la teoría sociológica de la segunda posguerra.
This article studies the sociological theory of Raúl Orgaz in the period 1926- 1946.The main interest of the text is to reconstruct the perspective proposed by the author between the mid-1930s and the beginning of the 1940s, which articulates the contributions of three authors: Nicholas Spykman, Pitirim Sorokin and, especially, Émile Durkheim, which gave rise to an original sociological approach at this time. It has been labeled as prefunctionalist, inasmuch as it anticipates some elements that, after the seminal contributions of the North American sociologists Talcott Parsons and Robert Merton, will become the hegemonic vision in postwar sociological theory.
