El presente trabajo propone una lectura crítica de las posturas que elabora Georges Didi-Huberman en Ante el tiempo. Historia del arte y anacronismo de las imágenes (2008), a fin de repensar los paradigmas sobre los que nos hemos planteado, hasta aquí, la historicidad y, sobre todo, el lugar que ocupa la imagen en ella. Prestaremos especial atención a la recuperación que hace de los postulados que Walter Benjamin desarrolla en la primera mitad del siglo XX, donde propone una mirada sobre la historia a contrapelo y rompe con la idea positivista de un desarrollo lineal a través del concepto de progreso.
This work suggests a critical reading of the position that Georges Didi- Huberman elaborates in Devant le Temps. Histoire de l’Art Et Anachronisme des Images (2000) [Before Time. Art History and Anachronistic Images] in order to rethink the paradigms on which we have considered historicity and, above all, the role that image plays in it. We will give special attention to the recovery of the postulates that Walter Benjamin develops in the first half of the 20th century, in which he suggests a new way of looking at history that goes the wrong way round and breaks with the positivist idea of a lineal development through the concept of progress.
