Comparación de la efectividad de la higiene oral antes y después de la terapia inicial

Se resalta el papel de la placa bacteriana en la iniciación de la enfermedad gingivo-periodontal y la importancia de la higiene oral para impedir su acumulación luego de la remoción realizada en el tratamiento. Los pacientes estudiados se dividieron en 3 grupos de acuerdo al diagnóstico, se registró el % de placa bacteriana existente y se hizo la motivación e instrucción de higiene oral. Al finalizar la terapia inicial se tomaron nuevamente los registros del % de placa y se realizò la evaluación estadìstica.
We highlight the role of the bacterial plaque in the beginning of the gingivo periodontal disease and the importance of the oral hygiene to prevent its accumulation after the removal realized in the treatment.The studied patients were divided in 3 groups according to the diagnosis.We registered the percentage of bacterial plaque and did the motivation and instruction of oral hygiene. When the initial therapy was finished we took again the records of the percentage of plaque and did the statistical evaluation.
