La metáfora de la luz como fuente divina de verdad y excelencia es una constante en Agustín. En este artículo nos proponemos analizar la contraposición entre dos luces y dos ojos: la luz corpórea y la luz incorpórea, las cuales se corresponden con el ojo del cuerpo y el ojo del alma respectivamente. Propondremos también una lectura política de esta tensión lumínica y óptica.
Light as divine source of truth and excellence is a pervasive metaphor in St. Augustine. The aim of this paper is to examine the distinction between two lights and two eyes: the corporeal light and the incorporeal light, which correspond to the eye of the body and the eye of the soul respectively. We will also put forward a political reading of this light-optic tension
