Humanizando al Gallo : Imágenes que muestran lo que ocultan

A partir del análisis de dos fotografías tomadas a Guillermo Gallo, Rector de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), durante la última Dictadura cívico militar, observamos el rol de la imagen como un instrumento que no sólo muestra un determinado mensaje de autoridad y de orden contra los grupos subversivos, sino también que naturaliza y justifica ante la sociedad el accionar represivo. En ambas fotografías se abordará la cuestión de la complicidad civil para con los grupos militares, tanto desde el rol de los medios como también del propio Guillermo Gallo como Rector de la UNLP.
Based on the analysis of two pictures taken to Guillermo Gallo, Rector of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), during the last military-civic dictatorship, we see the role of the image as an instrument that not only shows a specific message of authority and order against the subversives groups, but also naturalizes and justifies the repressive action towards the society. In both photos, we will focus on the civic complicity to the military groups, not only on the media role, but also Gallo himself as Rector of the UNLP.
