Este artículo aborda el proceso y el resultado del trabajo final del Seminario de posgrado «En torno a la letra» (2018), en la Facultad de Bellas Artes, de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. La investigación y el análisis comprenden la influencia del movimiento de la escuela de la Bauhaus, la Nueva Tipografía y el estilo Art Deco, que remiten a la década de 1920 en la Argentina. Estas corrientes funcionalistas se materializaron en varias disciplinas, como la Arquitectura, el Diseño y la Ingeniería, expresadas en intervenciones tipográficas cuyas influencias se reflejan en la historia patrimonial de la cultura y la sociedad de nuestro país, específicamente en la ciudad de La Plata.
The article tackles the process and results developed in the final work of the postgraduate course «Around the Letter» (2018), taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts, National University of La Plata. The investigation and the analysis comprise the influence of the Bauhaus, the New Typography and the Art Deco style, which refer to the decade of 1920 in Argentina. These functionalist currents were materialized in the fusion of several disciplines, Architecture, Design and Engineering, expressed in typographical interventions whose influences are reflected in the patrimonial history of the culture and society of our country, specifically in the city of La Plata.
