En este trabajo, buscamos ofrecer una visión integral de los logros alcanzados por la comunidad argentina, a través de un análisis de estadísticas relevantes provenientes del Observatorio Gemini. Dichas estadísticas abarcan desde el número de publicaciones científicas, tesis generadas, hasta la eficiente asignación de tiempo otorgado al país. Nuestra principal meta es poner en relieve el impacto significativo que el Observatorio Gemini ha tenido en el progreso de la investigación astronómica en Argentina, subrayando el papel significativo del país a nivel internacional y su contribución sustancial al conocimiento astronómico global.
In this work, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the achievements of the Argentinean community through an analysis of relevant statistics from the Gemini Observatory. These statistics encompass the number of scientific publications, generated theses, and the efficient allocation of time granted to the country. Our primary goal is to highlight the significant impact that the Gemini Observatory has had on the progress of astronomical research in Argentina, emphasizing the country’s significant role on the international stage and its substantial contribution to global astronomical knowledge.
