En este trabajo, el autor describe Chirothrips oryzae, nueva especie, recolectada sobre inflorescencias de arroz en Empedrado, provincia de Corrientes. Además, menciona Frankliniella rodeos Moulton, 1933, bailada sobre arroz en la misma localidad, y Plesiothrips fawcetti Morison, 1937, registrada sobre dicha planta en la provincia de Tucumán. Los tipos de la nueva especie se conservan en las colecciones del Museo de La Plata.
ln this paper the author describes Chirothrips oryzae new species, collected on the iudorescences of rice at Empedrado in the province of Corrientes. Furtherinore, mention is niade of Frankliniella rodeos Moulton, 1933, taked on rice in the same locality, and Plesiothrips fawcetti Morison, 1937, previously recorded on rice at the province of Tucumán. The types of the new species are preserved in the collections of the Museo de La Plata (Argentine).
