Descripción
Spaces such as Archives, Libraries and Museums of Informatics and Communication are fundamental for historical-social research due to their role in the construction, preservation and availability of the heritage constituted by artifacts, documents, film and graphic records, oral sources, among others. They are also central pieces of education and culture due to their pedagogical capacity, a very attractive path to address the history of science and technology. In this edition, the debate was focused on three axes: Collecting, Preservation and Research. The activities of preservation of history and the computer collection are not exclusive to the university environment. On the contrary, multiple and diverse actors participate and enrich the possibility of having stories, objects and materials that help us understand and safeguard the history of our discipline. In this sense, individuals, organizations, companies, universities and museums play an important role in this task. This configuration complements, interrelates and often allows the activities of all of them to be enhanced.
