Resumen: Sin pretender “espiritualizar” la teología del padre Rafael Tello, este artículo ofrece algunas de las vertientes en las que abreva la espiritualidad de la pastoral popular de la que el teólogo argentino es uno de sus más originales representantes. Indagaremos en ciertos núcleos teologales y teológicos que nos permitirán registrar una continuidad entre teología y vida, al tiempo que nos dejarán en el umbral de una propuesta evangelizadora que no es posible comprender sin esta manera de vivir la fe cristiana. De la mano de figuras tradicionales de la mística y de la teología como san Juan de la Cruz y santo Tomás de Aquino, el padre Tello nos propone recrear la vivencia del evangelio para los tiempos actuales.
Abstract: Although this article does not intend to “spiritualize” Father Rafael Tello’s theology, it offers some of the currents where the spirituality of popular pastoral is nurtured, of which the Argentinean theologian is one of its most original representatives.We shall inquire into certain theological cores which will allow us to register a sense of continuity between theology and life, while leaving us on the threshold of an evangelizing proposal that is impossible to comprehend without this way of living Christian faith. Together with traditional figures in mystic and theology such as Saint John of the Cross and Saint Thomas Aquinas, father Tello proposes that we recreate the experiences of the Gospel for contemporary times.
