Narración e historia: en torno a la cuestión del tiempo en el antiguo testamento

Resumen: Las narraciones ocupan un lugar muy importante en la Biblia y se ofrecen como portadoras de la revelación de Dios, en el tiempo que va entre los acontecimientos primordiales (cf. Gn. 1-11) y “el fin” (cf. Ap.). ¿Se trata sólo del empleo de un género literario o la narración está exigida, de alguna manera, por la experiencia de fe que condensa la Sagrada Escritura? El autor sostiene la segunda proposición. Después de recordar que la actual estructuración de la Biblia refleja un determinado paradigma de la experiencia creyente, ofrece un modo de entender qué es “historia” y su relación con la narración, y finaliza describiendo brevemente algunos tipos de formas narrativas que se encuentran en el Antiguo Testamento, como vehículo privilegiado para referir “el paso de Dios por la historia”.
Abstract: Narrations occupy a very important place in the Bible and are presented as carriers of God’s revelation, in the time that lies between the primordial events (cf. Gn. 1-11) and “the end” (cf. Ap.). Is this only the use of a literary gender or is narration somehow demanded by the experience of faith that Holy Scripture condenses? The author maintains the second proposition. After noting that the present structure of the Bible reflects a certain paradigm of the believing experience, he offers a way to understand what is “history” and its relationship with narration and concludes by describing briefly some types of narrative forms that are in the Old Testament, as a privileged way of indicating “the passage of God through history”.
