Resumen: El presente escrito corresponde a una breve ponencia presentada en octubre de 2022 en la mesa de Medio Ambiente del XVI Congreso Internacional de Bioética organizado por el Instituto de Bioética de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. En términos generales, las preocupaciones ecológicas fueron monopolizadas por la izquierda progresista, que propone un ecologismo a modo de proyecto reglamentista que, aprovechando esas preocupaciones, intenta imposiciones que nada tienen que ver con el verdadero cuidado del medio ambiente. Surge entonces la necesidad de descubrir una bioética global genuina que ayude a conservarlo, sin perder la libertad que el ecologismo del miedo o el ecosocialismo actual desean establecer.
Abstract: This paper corresponds to a brief presentation made in October 2022 at the Environment round table of the XVI International Congress of Bioethics organized by the Institute of Bioethics of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. In general terms, ecological concerns have been monopolized by the progressive left, which proposes an environmentalism as a regulatory project that, taking advantage of these concerns, tries to impose impositions that have nothing to do with the true care of the environment. The need then arises to discover a genuine global bioethics that helps to conserve it, without losing the freedom that the ecologism of fear or the current ecosocialism wish to establish.
