This work has been produced as part of an investigation on the roles of drawing in contemporary art, in response to the proliferation of practices that claim it as an autonomous discipline. The aim of this piece is to reflect on the codes established by modernity around the themes, supports and exhibition spaces of drawing. Here, the plate, a marginal device in the field of art, supports images of the Negro River which are elusive to the spatial organization that modern art has imprinted on nature in various visual manifestations.
Esta obra ha sido producida en el marco de una investigación sobre los roles del dibujo en el arte contemporáneo, atendiendo a la proliferación de prácticas que lo reivindican como una disciplina autónoma. El objetivo de esta pieza es reflexionar respecto a los códigos establecidos por la modernidad en torno a los temas, soportes y espacios de exhibición del dibujo. El plato, un soporte fronterizo en el campo del arte, soporta aquí imágenes del Río Negro que se presentan esquivas a la organización espacial que el arte moderno ha impreso sobre la naturaleza en diversas manifestaciones visuales.
