La Iglesia nos enseña que nuestra potencia intelectual es sujeto del hábito de fe y, por lo tanto, el acto elicitado por este hábito es propiamente intelectual. Sin embargo, resultan necesarios una serie de movimientos afectivos para producirlo. Al mismo tiempo, este acto no puede ser producido sin el movimiento interior de la gracia y sin el concurso de la voluntad que mueve al intelecto para que elicite el acto de creer. El acto de fe permite que la persona sea transformada por los misterios creídos y experimente cómo la Providencia divina ha dispuesto que todo acontecimiento se ordene a su santificación.
The Church teaches us that our intellectual power is subject to the habit of faith and, therefore, the act elicited by this habit is properly intellectual. However, a series of affective movements are necessary to produce it. At the same time, this act cannot be produced without the interior movement of grace and without the concurrence of the will that moves the intellect so that it elicits the act of believing. The act of faith allows the person to be transformed by the mysteries believed and experience how divine Providence has arranged that every event be ordered to his sanctification.
