Reuse of solarized strawberry substrate in ornamental production of Tagetes erecta: effect of leaching of chemical parameters and plant growth

Soilless strawberry cultivation improves yields and efficiency but generates large amounts of used substrate that must be managed sustainably. Solarization disinfects these substrates, enabling reuse, though salt accumulation may limit new crops. Water leaching can reduce salinity. This study assessed the effect of different leaching volumes on the chemical properties of solarized, recycled substrate and its suitability for Tagetes erecta production.
