The objetives of agricultural engineering training in Argentina

- This study analyses the curricular plans of the Agricultural Engineering Degree in the Republic of Argentina, focusing on the objectives of these training plans. It also identifies the fields of work for which their professional preparation is encouraged. A sample of universities based in Buenos Aires was taken and an analysis of the content of the curricula was carried out. Six broad thematic areas were identified for which Agronomy is oriented in these universities. Most of the objectives of Agricultural studies are oriented towards Agricultural production design and management.
Este estudio analiza los planes curriculares de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica en la República Argentina, centrándose en los objetivos de estos planes de formación. Asimismo, se identifican los campos laborales para los cuales se propicia su preparación profesional. Se tomó una muestra de universidades con sede en Buenos Aires y se realizó un análisis del contenido de los planes de estudio. Se identificaron seis grandes áreas temáticas para las cuales se orienta la carrera de Agronomía en estas universidades. La mayoría de los objetivos de los estudios de Agronomía están orientados al diseño y gestión de la producción agropecuaria.
