Panorama socio-histórico y educación intercultural bilingüe en el centro chaqueño

El artículo presenta algunas de las reflexiones trabajadas en la tesis doctoral en Antropología Social, centrada en documentar la diversidad y complejidad en las trayectorias socioeducativas de un grupo de maestrxs indígenas del centro-chaqueño. En este texto desarrollamos el panorama sociohistórico y socioeducativo actual de la región, especificando los procesos sociohistóricos sobre los contextos indígenas y la escolarización, el inicio de la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe (EIB) y de la figura del/la maestrx indígena, y las condiciones socioeducativas actuales del centro chaqueño. Si bien pueden evidenciarse múltiples acciones que emergen para atender contextos de marcada desigualdad económica y socioeducativa, tanto en Argentina como en otros países de la región perduran problemáticas que afectan cotidianamente a niñxs, jóvenes y adultos que se autoidentifican como indígenas. Nos parece fundamental abordar estos aspectos, considerando que dichos procesos locales y nacionales no pueden escindirse de los fenómenos de etnocentrismo, racismo y discriminación en Latinoamérica, que parecen profundizarse gravemente en el presente.
The article presents some of the reflections addressed on the doctoral thesis on Social Anthropology, focused on documenting the diversity and complexity in the social and educational trajectories of a group of indigenous teachers in the central area of Chaco province. In this text, we develop the current socio-historical and socio-educational landscape of the region, specifying the social and historical processes of indigenous contexts and the schooling system, the beginning of Intercultural Bilingual Education (IBE) and the figure of the indigenous teacher, and the current socio-educational conditions of Chaco’s central area. Although there are multiple actions that emerge in order to address the contexts of deep economic and socio-educational inequality, both in Argentina and in other countries in the region, many problems still remain, daily affecting children, youths and adults who identify themselves as indigenous. We believe it is essential to address these aspects, considering that these local and national processes cannot be separated from the phenomena of ethnocentrism, racism and discrimination in Latin America, which seem to be seriously deepening in the current times.
