Tunupa en Marcapata: las andanzas de San Francisco de Asís y su acólito Phuyutarki en el sur peruano

El artículo presenta y discute cuatro versiones de un mito registrado en el distrito de Marcapata (Quispicanchi, Cuzco, Perú) relativo a su santo patrón, San Francisco de Asís, y al constructor de su iglesia, el héroe Phuyutarki. Se examinan asimismo las analogías existentes entre el mito en cuestión con textos comparables registrados en las crónicas de los siglos XVI y XVII y se destaca la profundidad temporal de las relaciones existentes entre sus respectivos elementos constitutivos.
Cet article présente et discute quatre versions d’un mythe collecté dans le district de Marcapata (Quispicnachi, Cuzco, Pérou). Il s’agit d’un mythe relatif à son saint patron, saint François d’Assise, et au constructeur de son église, le héros Phuyutarki. On examine les analogies existantes entre ce mythe et des textes équivalents issus des chroniques des xvie et xviie siècles, en relevant la profondeur temporelle des relations qui existent entre leurs éléments constitutifs respectifs.
This paper presents and discusses four versions of a myth recorded in the district of Marcapata (Quispicanchi, Cuzco, Peru). The narrative tells the adventures of Patron St. Francis of Assisi and the builder of its church, the hero Phuyutarki. The paper also examines analogies between this myth and some similar texts recorded in the 16th and 17th century sources, and highlights the temporal depth of the relationships among their constitutive elements.
