¿Provocó la Revolución de 1810 en el virreinato rioplatense un cambio sustancial en la enseñanza de la Universidad de Córdoba?; ¿comenzó en la Universidad, que llevaba casi dos siglos de existencia, un momento nuevo fundado en un paradigma diferente al de los estudios coloniales?
After the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767, the University of Córdoba diffused regalism and moral rigor to strengthen the obedience of the subjects. These doctrines survived the transfer of the University to the secular clergy and remained in force at the time of political revolution. This article asks what happened after 1810 and what impact the new order had in the bicentennial University. Although at a first glance there seems to have been a shift towards modernity in curricula and lessons, we want to accentuate continuities, reinterpretations of traditions, and adaptations in discourse aimed at arranging with a different political reality.
