Creado en 1925, el Secretariado Sudamericano fue una de las pocas estructuras regionales que integraron la maquinaria organizativa impulsada por la Internacional Comunista para coordinar acciones del comunismo internacional. En septiembre de 1930 el Secretariado comenzó a editar su órgano teórico: Revista Comunista. En sus páginas fueron plasmados diagnósticos referidos a cada uno de los partidos comunistas de Sudamérica y a las diversas situaciones nacionales en las que debían operar. En este sentido, una reposición de aquellas líneas interpretativas de la realidad coyuntural resulta relevante para profundizar y problematizar la comprensión del desarrollo del comunismo sudamericano durante el tercer período.
Created in 1925, the South American Secretariat was one of the few regional structures that integrated the organizational machinery promoted by the Communist International to coordinate actions of international communism. In September of 1930, the Secretariat began to publish their theory bulletin: Revista Comunista. It provided diagnoses related to each of the South America communist parties, as well as to the varying national situations in which they were to operate. In this sense, a reinstatement of those interpretive lines of current reality is relevant to deepen and analyse as a problem the understanding of the development of South American communism during the so-called “third period”.
