Caminos icónicos: Gottfried Boehm lector de Martin Heidegger

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la lectura productiva que hace el historiador de arte y filósofo Gottfried Boehm, discípulo de Hans-Georg Gadamer, del pensamiento de Martin Heidegger. Lejos está Boehm de ser un mero comentador de la filosofía del profesor de Friburgo o un “heideggeriano”. Tampoco es un cientista social que busca “aplicar” la teoría del arte heideggeriana en la historia del arte. Mi hipótesis es que la propuesta filosófica de Boehm, sin perder un ápice de originalidad, se sirve de algunos elementos del pensamiento heideggeriano que le permite desarrollar conceptos centrales. Principalmente me abocaré a lo desarrollado por el historiador del arte en Wie Bilder Sinn erzeugen, aunque también se hará referencia a otros textos del autor. Rastrearé este diálogo con Heidegger en tres ideas clave de Boehm: 1. la relación entre la imagen, el mundo y el sentido; 2. la diferencia icónica y; 3. la indeterminación de la imagen
The aim of this research is to analyze the productive reading made by the art historian and philosopher Gottfried Boehm, a disciple of Hans-Georg Gadamer, of the thought of Martin Heidegger. Boehm is far from being a mere commentator on the philosophy of the Freiburg professor or a „Heideggerian.“ Neither is he a social scientist seeking to „apply“ Heideggerian art theory to art history. My hypothesis is that Boehm‘s philosophical proposal, without losing originality, makes use of some elements of Heideggerian thought that allow him to develop central concepts. Mainly I will focus on what was developed by the art historian in Wie Bilder Sinn erzeugen, although reference will also be made to other texts by the author. I will trace this dialogue with Heidegger on three key ideas of Boehm: 1. the relationship between the image, the world and meaning; 2. the iconic difference and; 3. the indeterminacy of the image.
